Im making a computerized version of a japanese card game called di fugo. does anybody have a website that covers the basics of making AI for a card game?

Card game AI will be different depending on the rules of the game - a good place to start would be to write out the rules of the game, and how you would react in different situations. AI for "Go Fish", for example, is going to be very different from Poker AI, or Blackjack AI, which is obvious if you think about how the games are played. Good luck! I've never heard of the game, but card games as a rule are a good place to start - the number of situations one can be in is pretty limited, and there's usually a set way to go about things, which makes it easy to code.

...unless you're playing Bridge ;)
