Font spacing/sizing question

I am writing a font utility program, and I need to get the width and height of characters in a font. I have gone as far as using GLYPHMETRICSFLOATs to get the grid data, but I don't know how to convert that data to pixels or something usable with OpenGL. Basically, does anyone know how to convert the Notional units that are stored in a GLYPHMETRICSFLOAT structure, as acquired through wglUseFontOutlines, to pixels? I am making dialog controls, and this problem is specific to the textbox/editbox I am creating. I need to know when to wordwrap, so I need to know when the pixel length of a string is getting longer than the textbox. Thanks in advance!
