Directx fog

Hi, I'm programming a first person and have turned on fog in directx. However I have a hemisphere with a sky texture, and with fog on am unable to see the sky at all. Is there anyway to stop directx generating fog around a particular model e.g. the sky?

Sure you can just disable the D3DRS_FOGENABLE render state before rendering your sky.
