I am completly new to web programming and scripting, I tried doing this in c++ and quickly decided that there must be a better way, but my lack of knowledge with regards to scripting is letting me down. I am trying to perform the following tasks (spawned from a c++ windows app I am developing) * Access a webpage * Fill in a form with specified text (passed from the windows app) * Submit the form Can anyone point me in the right direction as to how I can achieve this using scripting languages, and if there are any useful resources that would be useful for me to read. Many Thanks

If you know what the form looks like (i.e. know the names of the fields) then you don't need to do all that. Just generate a valid HTTP GET or POST request and send it to the server. If you need a HTTP library, take a look at Curl.
