I'm making a game and was wondering how I could make the computer record what the player's action was in a matrix I'm guessing. Like the idea of my game is recording the player's action and spitting them back out, and I'm guessing doing this through a Matrix, but I'm using Java, so I'm a little stuck on how to start this recording actions of the player. Any comments are welcomed. Thanks,

It really depends on the type of game.

I mean, if you were writing a fighter of some sort, you would record every button press, but if you were writing a racing game, you wouldn't want to have long periods where all that was pressed was the accelerator, so you might decide to write changes in the accelerator.

Like, instead of every single entry from 3 seconds to 8 seconds to be just the accelerator, just have "3 seconds: accl press, 8 seconds: accl release"

So it really depends on the type of game, and how much input on average you would need to record.
