Hey guys, I've used the search function on the forums but can't find any lens flare sprites with masks. I can find lots of bitmaps of lens flare effects with every tutorial on lens flares. The problem I have comes from blitting them. When I try to create masks of the flare effects using mask maker (from conware), its not effective..I get masks that are not exact copies of the light. Im guessing this is because of the nature of the flares. I was wondering if anyone has lens flares bitmaps with masks or advice as to how I can get this done? Thank you

probably not much help at all . But to correctly apply a lens flair to a image you would just use a add function in floating point linear . Or something like a screen function in photo shop in anything less than float . You just need to get a hold of a lens flair render on black . Using a alpha/mask to composite the flair will give you a incorrect effect .
