Hi I am new to programing and am new to python. I just started a tutorial. the tut address is http://swaroopch.info/text/Byte_of_Python:Main_Page and this is where I am stuck. it reads (Quote from website) (Start your editor, type the following program and save it as helloworld.py. print 'Hello World' Run this program by opening a shell prompt and run the command python helloworld.py. If you are using PythonWin, use the menu File → Run. The output is as shown below: $ python helloworld.py Hello World ) My problem is the editor won't save right. or it wont seem to save. I write print 'Hello World' and goto File save as. and save it as helloworld.py but it does not save a file. Im wondering if anyone can help me out.. thank you.

Is it saved as helloworld.py.txt?

Some editors append .txt to files unless you tell them otherwise.
