Hi all, I'm trying create a scene with bright light sources, like those on the walls in the following url: http://www.dignews.com/admin/screenshoot/wipeout_pure_07.jpg. What is the best method in OpenGl to achieve this effect ? I was thinking about doing multi-texturing, but I have no experience with this, so I'm not sure that this is right approach. If this is indeed the correct way, then, it appears that for the bright lights texture, the regular lighting should be turned off (otherwise the white would not remain white), so how do achieve this ? thanks in advance, Vince

You want to create light sources like lamps? If so ,you can use GL_EMMISION parameter of function glMaterial* .For detailes you can see chapter 5 of redbook.

Those lights just look like simple white textures. The scene appears to be post-processed with a bloom filter which is what gives them the glowy whiteness.
