QuickTime texture loading

Hi im having a problem with QickTime, im plaing on useing it to load texteures on mac osx (OpenGL), however the framework that im working on uses custom Files (for multiplatform reasons). So in my loading function i only have a pointer to this custom file which has read, seek, tell etc but i does not have the files name or path, my question is how to load the texture haveing only such file and method's in QuickTime. I used DevIL and jasper before and in these librays i could pass a pointer to the reading/writing functions, but i cant find it(function for passing the pointers to functions) in QuickTime.... many thanks... jerry
