Like in a space ship game where the enemy ships go after you and shoot and stuff. What technique do they use to let the enemy ships know where you are going and everything? Does the game just send the AI ships your location or do they have to look for you? Anthony out

Both techniques can be used, informing the AI bots with details or having the bots have a sensor and a memory.
The problem with passing the bots the information is that they always know where you are, so it does not really give the sense of intelligence rather
an unfair advantage. With a sensor and memory the bots have to find you to be able to attack. The memory could be used so that if a bot sees you and
then turns around it does not instantly forget you, this would only happen after an elapse of the memory span and the bot no longer has you in sight.
