Hi, How much video memory does a display list take up? I ask because I have several display lists for various objects in my game, and it would be simple to make them all at the same time. I have one gig of vram. If the display lists are about a hundred polygons big, how many can I have? Geometrian

I don't know exactly how the data is stored, but I think in some kind of vbo. So if you have 100 polys each with 4 vertices, each vertex with a position, color, normal, texcoord this would make 10 * 4 bytes per vertex.

So 100 * 4 * 10 * 4 = 16000

With such a small amout of vertices it would take in this case 16kb. So you don't have to bother about this, textures take much more vram.

Remember that textures take up space too, if you decide to store them inside your displaylists.
Also, this may sound stupid, don't store the same object in several different displaylist. I.e store each model only once.
