GLX: How to share a texture and/or FBO between processes?

Good evening! My problem is as follows: I want one process to render to a buffer, and I want the second process to use this buffer as a texture. Rendering to a buffer is no problem using framebuffer objects, but how can I share this buffer with the other process without copying? GLX does support shared contexts, however it only supports sharing indirect contexts (according to the documentation), which I am not too fond of (Someone ever tried glxgears with an indirect GLXContext?). Does anyone know of any other way to accomplish my goal? Thanks in advance, blablaman
