I now know a lot about rendering, but still very little about animation and physics beyond the most obvious and simple. I'm interested in finding tutorials, source code, books, articles, scientific papers, and artist content to be able to try out things such as bone animation, weighted bone animation, morphing between characters, animating a walking and running character in a convincing way, ragdoll physics, accurate and fast colision reaction, and doing all of this while keeping batching and minimization of DrawPrimitive calls in mind. Which books/webpages would you recommend, and above all I would like answers to the following two questions: 1. how/where do I find suitable artist content to be able to experiment with all these things? 2. is there any good up-to-date, fairly complete review article/summary on which techniques exist in the field of animating? I'm searching for the animation equivalent of www.vterrain.org I know there's plenty on animations in the gamedev forum archives, but the two numbered questions above I couldn't find any answers to.
