Hi. I had no problem editing fx shader code in VS2003 I mean I could modify code color for example magenta is for string code color and green for comment color etc. but in VS2005, code color is all white(my background is black) and I can't change it. *h and *.cpp is fine but problem is shader code. I installed vs2005 service pack, of course. It's annoying me...^^; Is it a vs2005 bug? p.s. I'm sorry if my question is not proper for this directX topic.

I agree, it's definitely weird that they don't make it easy to get syntax highlighting. You'd think Microsoft would make that part of the DX integration with Visual Studio? Maybe it's changed in recent SDKs.

What you should do is go here and follow the instructions by circlesoft (third to last post) to get the keywords. Next, in VS2005 go to Tools->Options->Text Editor->File Extensions and add the *.fx files to the list using the C++ editor. Restart VS2005 if you haven't already and you're set.
