Occlusion Query - Visibility Ratio

Hi, I'm trying to find out the ratio of visible fragments to total number of fragments of a triangle. Getting the number of visible pixels is straightforward with an occlusion query. But can I somehow get the total number of fragments? I googled around for a while, and some sources state that they use the visibility ratio but they don't say how this is done. Thanks! Poons

ive done the following (which shows how much overdraw u have)

clear stencil buffer to 0
with each fragment that passes depth test increment stencil
