DirectX c++ programming demo with source

Don't know if my skills are up to it yet but I am checking it out now.

EDIT: Does not work, citing "This application has failed to star because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem."

I have tried to reinstall, and redownload, but nothing seems to help.

Install the Visual C++ 2005 sp1 redistributable package. You'll find the link at the top of the page.

You may want to enable linear or anisotropic filtering for ur textures.

device9->SetSamplerState (DWORD sampler_stage, D3DSAMP_MAGFILTER, D3DTEXF_ANISOTROPIC *or* D3DTEXF_LINEAR);

device9->SetSamplerState (DWORD sampler_stage, D3DSAMP_MINFILTER, D3DTEXF_ANISOTROPIC *or* D3DTEXF_LINEAR);
