I have a notebook with a Radeon X1700 graphics card. I am running Vista with the latest graphics drivers my notebook manufacturer can provide. However, glGetString(GL_VERSION) tells me I have OpenGL v1.1.0. I should have v2.0.0 according to ATI's specs for the X1700. I don't know what to do. Also, glGetString(GL_RENDERER) returns "GDI Generic Device". It that correct? Shouldn't it say "Radeon", "ATI", "OpenGL" or something else? Let me know if you guys need more information. Thanks for your help. [Edited by - tuphdc on July 8, 2007 5:45:01 PM]

"Currently AMD does not provide any driver support for Mobility Radeon™ products. All driver and technical support for Mobility Radeon™ products is provided by the original laptop or notebook manufacturer."

Something to keep an eye out for would be when the omega drivers get a Vista release.

Currently only a 32-bit Vista version is in the works, so if you are running 64-bit Vista then you are stuck with your notebook manufacturer for probably a very long time. There may be other sites that do ATI drivers for notebooks, but I've personally only used Omegas before and been very happy with them.

Edit: Heh nevermind then, glad you got it sorted [cool]
