How to load diferent texture on each side of a 3d cube??
Hi!
Can someone teach me how to build a cube and load textures on each side of a 3d cube??... I've been looking all day on the Internet and there's not much help.
I'll appreciate!
Load 6 different textures first.
Draw the 6 faces of cube as 6 separate QUADS
Bind the texture for the front face
Draw the front quad
Bind the texture for the back face of the cube
Draw the back face of the cube
and so on.
hi! i have made a cube with different texture on eazh side (a dice actually) before and found it for you ;)

If possible, you may want to combine all of those textures into a single one, and simply change the coordinates for each side of the cube. This prevents a bunch a calls to glBindTexture. Not a big deal if you only need one of these cubes, but with many it could slow things down.
Thanks!! it's been really helpfull!!...
And for my final task... how to make the cube rotated by the mouse??
This should be use as a guide for everyone who are trying to learn opengl.
Once again. Thanks!.

Go to NeHe and check out the tutorials. Most of these types of questions are answered very thoroughly in those, and it is, indeed, "used as a guide" for a lot of people who learn OpenGL. It is a very good series.
