I am trying to find some information on how to get started with development of homebrewn applications for the Nintendo DS. I am using Visual Studio 2005, and like to continue using it if possible. Does anyone know where I can find useful information on how to get NDS development working on VS2005? I have the devkitARM and devkitPRO installations (with libnds) already done.

Best way I've found to do this is to install PALib (a nice easy DS Dev library built on top of libnds). This page http://www.palib.info/wiki/doku.php?id=day1 explains installation and setting it up in Visual Studio. Then you can either use PALib, or since it's built on libnds you can just use that if you want (with a little tweaking of include paths etc).

This FAQ http://www.devkitpro.org/faq/how-do-i-use-devkitpro-toolchains-with-visual-c-express/ offers a more basic method, however it's not as nice. The PALib one handles putting icons in your .nds file and everything, which is great.

Hope that helps.
