I'm trying to to make a little cad/mesh editor program. I have plane set on the XY axises, i'm trying to draw on the plane. I'm trying resolve barycentric coordinates. I'm use mdx9, i think that im just making this to hard. the code IntersectInformation ii = new IntersectInformation(); if ( Mesh.Intersect( near, far, out ii) == false) return; now i know the vertixes of the triangle and the ii.U & ii.V are in barycentric coordinate system. now how do convert ii.U and ii.V back to 3d coords. And what Vertex is the origin vertex in relation to ii.v & ii.v, is it allways first one? thankful for any help. referenced links http://kurtm.flipcode.com/devlog-VoxelMeshCreationandRendering.shtml http://mathworld.wolfram.com/BarycentricCoordinates.html http://graphics.idav.ucdavis.edu/education/GraphicsNotes/Barycentric-Coordinates/Barycentric-Coordinates.html http://www.mdxinfo.com/tutorials/picking.php [Edited by - dan01 on July 15, 2007 12:13:48 AM]
