Not sure where to post this. I've seen alot of propaganda from game colleges that offer game design programs, then seen students from them on forums telling how it really is. So what is the real way to enter this industry? what education will I need to be accepted as a game developer?

Computer science,Software engineering are popular choices (I'm studying comp sci at uni, well for that month or two I actually have to go :D). I think if you have a maths or physics degree and meet the requirements for the job you also have a chance.
