I tried to detect x-box controller without success. Here is my code: HRESULT XInput() { g_State.Gamepad=g_GamePad; g_State.dwPacketNumber=1; XInputGetState(0,&g_State); long int but=g_GamePad.wButtons; if ((but&0x1)==1) Beep(1000,100); return 0; } Thanks in advance for any sugestion or correction

Have you looked at the XInput sample code in the SDK? It's been a while, but last time I played with it it was successfully detecting my 360 controller. Provided that sample works you can just half-inch the code [wink]
