Since I reinstalled WinXP, I've gotten this error every time I try to compile any program at all. Googling tells me that it's usually something to do with incompatible libs from a different version of MinGW, but the only MinGW I have is what the Bloodshed installer put there. Even after uninstalling Dev-C++, deleting the folder, and reinstalling on a different hard drive on the same system, the problem persists. What's going on?

I ended up fixing it, but here's my solution for posterity:

1. Uninstalling Dev-Cpp may not be sufficient. Follow it up by searching your hidden and system folders for devcpp.* and deleting what you find.

2. Don't use your old projects. Start new ones, configure your libraries and such from scratch, then import your old source files.

Obvious in hindsight, really.
