what LNG do i need ?

(almost)Any language will do, thus pick the one you and/or your team know best.

Here is a few suggestions:
(in no particular order)
Java
C#
Python
C++
VB.Net
+ a whole bunch of other languages.

You might also want to pick up SQL (for the database). (not necessary but it does simplify things alot)

People keep telling you because it's likely you don't understand quite how difficult it will be, despite what you might think.

Couple of think YOU need to understand

1. Programming is not easy, Game programming (DirectX/OpenGL) is even harder.
2. If you ask what language to use, you have never did the basics in any language of what so ever.

What i recommend is PHP/mySQL.
It's not what you are looking for,
its just to learn the basics.
If you dont know what php/mysql is,
I'll ask, can you write HTML?
If not, this is the wrong place for you.

My Point,
You dont know crap about programming,
I would recommend if you would do some research first.
Like, what languages exists.
Try tutorials of some languages.

There is not a BEST language to write mmo's in..
Actually, you can make mmo's in all languages
as long as you dont know what SQL is, learn that first
I'm creating a game with c# and directx atm.
and i have got 2 years of c# experiance. and dont know everything
i use google every single day to find out new things.
Google brought me to c#!

I used VB6 bevore .net framework existed. so i knew some stuff already
but everything changed with .net
i had to learn it all over again.
now 2YEARS later, im starting on directx programming,
so please. shut up. about asking what language is best to make a mmo.. THERE;S NO DIFFRENCE!

No one here is comfortable doing that, it really requires an informed decision on your part. Say someone tells you to go with C++, and a few thousand hours of development later, your team realizes geez, C# would have been way easier, why are we using C++? Do you really want to tell them its because a stranger on the internet said so?
