Hi! I don't seem to understand what's happening with my video driver, here's what happened: I reinstalled Windows then linux and then attempted to install the video driver on windows. All went well and so I tried to recompile a simple glut program that renders about 20 quads on screen. The thing is I only get about 17-18 fps, but before the windows reinstallation I was getting about 1000-1500 fps. I have other graphic intense applications that don't use glut, only opengl that and they work nicely, even recompiled. I don't understand why is it that I get so few fps's running the glut app.

Your simple program could have a simple bug in it (did you re-write this code from scratch, or compile pre-made code?), or your drivers may be installed improperly. Hard to say in this case, as there is little to go on. Were there any other programs running in the background at the time that could have been consuming some of the processing?
