so i need to tell my game to either show debug informations or not. This function works:
bool DBugCHK(bool bDebug)
{
if ((!bDebug) && (GetAsyncKeyState(VK_F1)))
return true;
else if ((bDebug) && (GetAsyncKeyState(VK_F1)))
return false;
else
return bDebug;
};

however it's kind of like rapid fire - i need to tap F1 very fast to change bDebug only once. Is there some solution to prevent this?

You need to have a variable that indicates whether the button was released before it was considered down again.



if button down
if button down last frame
Do Nothing
else
toggle
set button down last frame
else
unset button down last frame


Something like that.
