I'm now working on a 3D MapEditor project,and the user can place models on the map.the MapEditor should setup a window to preview the 3d model like warcraft3's mapeditor do. question is,sometimes the model is very huge(elephant.etc.),another times it's very small(dwarf.etc.),how can I make the model always fully in the preview window?say,not clipped by the window. thank you for help sorry for my poor english.

Basically its a matter of scaling.

Get the bounding sphere of your model (sphere1) and the sphere that fits into the frustum at the point you want the model to be (sphere2). Then your scaling factor would be sphere2.radius / sphere1.radius.
