Rendering with empty techniqe

Hi all. I was wondering. Can i render using this technique? technique EmptyTechnique { pass p0 { //empty technique } } I am rendering everything in my engine via the effect framework. I also have some things that don't need any shader-stuff. Like debug dummies (grid, box etc). Can i use an empty technique for those?? just for simplicity. Thanx in advance.

I'm pretty sure you should be ok, its just whether you need to explicitly set the VS and PS to be null. The D3DX debug messages tend to be quite vocal if you do something it doesn't like [wink]
