tri list w/ adjacency

I'm reading the docs on this, but just to be clear: I have to supply the triangle adjacency info explicitly in the buffers right. So for example, in the index buffer I would have 12 indices (4 triangles) per triangle--the triangle to draw plus its three neighbor triangles?
