MFC / CSplitterWnd

Ok, I am trying to create a SDI application to test my custom texture shader lanuage. Problem is, I have all the Splitter code in place and it''s not splitting the window. Here is all of the spilter specific source.. I have localised the problem to the fact that my CFrameWnd which is the window that is going to be split does not get touched by my application. OnCreateClient does not get called. This is probally due to the fact I am initalizeing my CEditView in App.InitInstance. Not my CFrameWnd. However if I init my CFrameWnd it causes a Assertion Failure.. Anyone have any ideas?
