need code to tile texture on quadratic sphere.

Ok to be exact on what I want I, I need code to bind a texture to a quadratic sphere then tile the texture. like the result of the texture cords for this QUAD. glBegin(GL_QUADS); glNormal3f( 0.0f, 0.0f, 1.0f); glTexCoord2f(0.0f, 0.0f); glVertex3f(-1.0f, -1.0f, 0.0f); glTexCoord2f(4.0f, 0.0f); glVertex3f( 1.0f, -1.0f, 0.0f); glTexCoord2f(4.0f, 4.0f); glVertex3f( 1.0f, 1.0f, 0.0f); glTexCoord2f(0.0f, 4.0f); glVertex3f(-1.0f, 1.0f, 0.0f); glEnd(); this would tile texture 4 TIMEs on to the QUAD I need this for a quadratic sphere.
