Sprites, is it easy?

Recommended Posts

Does any of you talented people know of any good tutorials on how to create sprites (semi-transparent) -images in Photoshop 5.0 Or if it''s simple, could you explain it to me. Thanks If you don''''t like butter, don''''t use it

heres some help on 2d sprites. go to http://classicgaming.com/ff1 and go to graphics, or monsters, etc. that site has many animated and sequenced sprites to look at. though they may be very choppy (final fantasy 1 was an NES game) it can start you on your way to becoming a sprite maker. you can study them and enlarge them by about 200% to see how they were made. If you want a sprite maker other than photoshop there is paint. or you can go to http://www.ziron.com/links/grutil.htm and look at all the game programming aids that site has. (sprite makers/animators, engines, tile makers, terrain makers, etc.)

I just zoom in 800%, click view->zoom->show grid, view->zoom->show thumbnail. Then paint it pixel by pixel.
