Does anyone here have this book? I just bought it from Amazon.com. I read a lot of good reviews on it and it was only $25. So I figured what the heck it covers Direct X 5.0 (I know its outdated compared to DX8) but seems to cover the basics of game programming? What are you thoughts on it? Also is the Tricks of the Windows Game Programming Gurus anygood? I hear its is for people who know what they are doing same with game programming gems? I have Tricks of the game programming gurus already but is dated and runs in DOS. I have MSVC++ 6.0 so does no good their! So hopefully this book is better suited for me! Thanks!
