Hi. I plan to develop a complete free Game Engine avaliable as Open Source with Zlib license (Or BSD). I have the overall design, but I need to choose the correct development plattform. Is desirable that this engine supports many OS plattforms, but also be fast and powerful with the lastest features (COLLADA support, Advanced Physics, procedural animation, Character physics, Per Pixel lighting, GeometryShaders, Network interaction etc.) So I have these three alternatives: 1) C++, with bullet physics and AngelScript for scripting (or squirrel). 2) C# with BulletX and Tao (OpenGL). 3) Java. Thinking on the future of game development, which plattform do you think that is the best for making this full-featured opensource game engine? And why? Think about not only on performance, but also in productivity and flexibility. Thanks.
