I'm hoping to get into a computer science class next year, hopefully waterloo, and I was wondering what the main language is that you would probably program in or do you go through a few languages?

That is very dependant on the school, normally the first few classes they force you to use one language so they have a common base for the rest of your education. From there you can work in just about any language you want to use. MIT starts with scheme. Stanford uses java. I want to say UT uses C++. Pretty sure Texas A&M does to since the creator of CPP works there. I don't know about waterloo you could probably check their course catalog and find out what they teach freshmen year.
