XNA Scene management
I'm looking for some tips about how to manage a game scene. The way I'm visualizing it I have a basic stage container that has props and actors in it. Props being things like a chair or a toaster. Things the player can pick up or interact with in some sense. Actors are just scripted characters that can talk to the player and perform scripted tasks.
I'm guessing there will probably be quite a lot of props in some scenes. And each prop/actor will most likely change texture and perform at least one draw call. Actors will be skinned meshes.
Also, as I'm using XNA, is it better to create like a scene manager component that manages all the actors and props within itself. Or should I just make each type a component in it's own (e.g. PropComponent, StageComponent etc)?
Appreciate any help, thanks!
