Is there a way to monitor or capture the data being sent your monitor by a program? For instance; lets say you wish to create an outside application to look for certain events happening within a game, these would include certain changes made what you are seeing on the screen, and your application will interact or perform an action based on those events. Is there any way to monitor the data being sent to locate the triggers that need to be used in your program to produced the desired effect?

We're not here to help you wallhack in CSS, sorry.

If you're not trying to do anything malicious, you can repost your question with a detailed explaination of what you're actually trying to do -- any why -- and somebody might be able to help you.
