I know my basic understanding of java and I want to create my game in java, now I'm wondering, how far can I extend myself in graphics? i'd preferable go in 3d... but since its my first try in java game programming, i need some guidelines or directions... why java? due its easyer for me, and safer then c++.. I'd be very thankfull Also what would be a good game engine to use with my game? things i'd want: MORPG Skills Combat system 3d... decent textures to apply on my models... I did 3d modeling before but never used them for programming, maybe this is the wrong section but can anyone give me a look/preview how its done? sincear, Akela Xeroxz

It's Java/Python framework that does all you want. It's also free (was last time I checked) for all practical purposes until you go commercial.

Will this give me enough 'taste' to get started?
