Taskbar Problems

Hi there,
I''ve just started playing with DirectDraw and things appear to be going well. Except, for one weird problem.
More times than not, when my application terminates it leaves an empty box in the Windows Taskbar.
I''m sure I''ve released all the DX objects and that my application is closing properly but this thing just stays there until I click on it.
Anyone else had this problem and know what''s the cause?

Don''t worry, it''s a common common problem.
It''s best to ignore it. People have tried to fix it with mixed success. What you should know is that it seems that the longer your program runs the less likely that will happen.
So in the so called real world someone would play your game for more than a few seconds, and therefore not experience the problem.
But that said, I have seen professional games with the same artifact.
Just because the church was wrong doesn''t mean Galileo wasn''t a heretic.
It just means he was a heretic who was right.
