Hello, I'm trying to install Allegro latest version, and I've downloaded the folder correctly, and extracted it, and I'm at the part of configuring allegro with Visual C++ 8 Express Edition 05, and I'm trying to figure out the command prompt of fix.bat -msvc8 but I keep getting "fix.bat is not recognized as an internal or external command...blah blah blah" So, how do I (since I can't just double click on the batch file and have it run) tell the command prompt that my batch file is in the allegro folder on my desktop? I've even moved it to the folder that is default directory in command prompt, but still can't seem to figure it out. Please help.

OK, so I have fixed my own problems. I thought it was going to be more complicated than using DevC++ 4.9.9.2 but it's just the same. Just copy the bin, lib, and include folders in the appropriate folder where your compiler can see it, and utilize them.

Well, I have also found this wiki to make a lot of sense, and a big help, so I thought I should pass it alone.
