Does anyone know where I can find tutorials on how do draw primitives more complex then a cube or a pyramid? Things like tori, blobs, spheres, etc.

On Paul Bourkes site he has the coordinates and maths behind some shapes.

Also some math books has the maths for geometry - try combining them. I once made a spirally torus object by combining a circle with a hex and connecting the points with lines in a serial fashion and then span it round.

Experiment.
