Starting today, VC# 2005 express seems to be crashing/shutting down with no warning or error whatsoever. Usually when I'm using the form designer, it will just close with no warning. I've done a bit of googling, but the problem is that usually crashes are associated with a warning/error message of some sort, but not here. It just closes. Has anyone else run into this before? Edit:: Okay, I think it is associated with a control that I'm writing that is currently on the form. It seems that when I click on it, or attempt to make a change to and compile the source file it is associated with, VC# just shuts down.

Okay, I found the problem.

Instead of having a variable and then having a seperate property with a get and set, I thought that I would be able to just have the variable, with a get and set and then instead of having the get and set refer to a seperate variable, refer it to the property, and then that will become a variable.

I thought this because when I tried it, the compiler did not complain or give any errors. It did however, cause VC# to just shutdown whenever I attempted to click on the control in the designer, or attempt to compile the related code.

Is it possible to do something like this? Or should I just keep doing what I've done and just have the public property named 'ViewSpace' and then the actual variable private and named '_ViewSpace'.

Or for something like this, should I have seperate get and set functions?
