Hey everyone, long time no see. I have a quick question about my GPU. I have a Radeon X550 and I know I am pretty far behind the curve with, but I was wondering just how far behind said curve I am. I was thinking of upgrading to a GeForce 8400 GS (I've never had an NVIDIA card before, btw) and I was wondering if that would hold me over for a while or if I should bite the bullet and spend the extra on the latest and greatest. Perhaps there is a happy medium between the two. Thanks for your help. -AJ

I guess it depends on whether or not you think you need the latest and greatest? If what you have now suits your needs then there's no real need to upgrade.

I would suggest that if you feel the need to upgrade, you might as well get something fairly decent. I recently just got an 8800 GTS and I'm hoping that will last me a while.

I think the more you spend, the longer you'll be "ahead of the curve", get something cheaper now and it'll just get older quicker. But again, it all depends on what you'd use it for. If you're upgrading just to catch up to the cool kids then don't bother. :D

These are relevant informations. It has only 64 bit memory controller, so expect BAD memory bandwidth and no antialiasing.
