Yet again, another question about the excuse of an OpenGL implementation ATI make. In a previous post I inquired about ATI bugs with OpenGL, and Yann mentioned "FBOs crash if not initialized and used according to a *very* specific and cryptic command sequence". I was wondering if anyone could elaborate on this as I'm trying to get to the bottom of why my FBO's crash when I enable textures. TIA

The only issue I've had, which is probably what Yann was referring to, was related to the order things are attached to the FBO.

For a number of driver revisions this order worked fine;
- create fbo
- create render target
- attach as depth target
- create texture
- attach as colour target

however during the writing of the FBO articles I found that was crashing, instead I had to change it to this;
- create fbo
- create render target
- create texture
- attach as colour target
- attach render target as depth target

Which worked fine on my hardware.
