Hi there, I try to make a 3D Spaceshooter. Therefore I want to have fine background graphics.. Many Stars some planets and other objects... I use OpenGL for graphics ... At the moment I create a list of random rotation values. These values move 2 different ''star'' textures over the inside of a sphere around my camera....... Well, it looks ugly. Any ideas ?

take a look at particle systems. one star = one vertex. also take a look at WU-antialiasing to make the stars look smooth.
