I'm seeking info on good practices to use in organizing a game. The states are the part that's confusing me. For example, how would I get the game to elegantly run multiple game states (level, graphics intro, menu, demo, pause within a level, boss within a level, prescripted animation in a level) from a function in the main game loop? How would I transition between levels or multiple states in the same level?

Additionally, there's starter kits available for download on the XNA Creators website which might be useful to look over. They come with assets and complete source code so you can compile the games yourself. XNA Starter Kits
