Hi All This is an example of the material syntax: bumpmap textures/base_door/stedoorframe2_local.tga diffusemap textures/base_door/stedoorframe2_d.tga specularmap textures/base_door/stedoorframe2_s.tga I wanted to know how I could combine these in DirectX, so I can produce the same effect as in doom3, as I only load a single texture at the moment. Any help with this please, as I am looking to start my next part of my engine. My engine can be downloaded and used at: http://members.iinet.net/~sjmarsha/3D_Engines.html You will need doom3 maps, and the textures. You can configure up to 5 maps using the engine.txt file. regards Steve

Load the texture, and the bump map texture.
Apply the texture to stage 0 of the texture stage.
Apply the bumpmap to stage 1 of the texture stage.
Then using YourDevice::SetTextureStageState() turn on some bump mapping.

I hope this helps.
