Hello. My root .htaccess contains the line "SetEnv TZ BST" but any PHP script reports the TZ variable as something else. I know I can explicitly set it in a script, but I'd rather the change was made globally and permanently. My site's host doesn't let me read or write any files outside of htdocs, so how can I do this? Thanks already

If you have PHP 5 (5.1?), this should work (if TZ isn't set) in the .htaccess:

php_value date.timezone "Europe/London"

Or your problem might just be that PHP doesn't understand BST.
