Hello, I've created multiple child windows for my application, and I'm making it so that they have a strict vector look to the appliaction. Now i'm curious as to how I would fix the bug where the background of the dialog is a different color yet you can still see a white border around it.
case WM_CTLCOLORDLG:
I use that system, then i set the background color inside my callback, but I can still see a white rim around the dialog. This is what happens.. http://img249.imageshack.us/img249/3981/1hl2help1lj6.jpg Does anyone know how to fix?

Draw all controls yourself. This doesn't necessarily mean you can't use standard controls in design mode (because this makes it easier to layout your interface), it just means that as soon as your program is running, hide all non-interactive controls and start drawing them yourself, and do owner-drawing an all interactive controls like buttons or check boxes.

[EDIT]

I wrote this unmanaged Win32 program a long time ago, and it uses custom user interface skinning (using only GDI, without custom bitmaps).

You can take a look at the source code (it compiles).
