I'm trying to send e-mail with the use of MAPI but I can't get it to work properly. My code fails on the first call to MAPI, the MAPILogon function. I call it like this: LHANDLE session; MAPILogon( 0, NULL, NULL, MAPI_LOGON_UI, 0, &session ); I get the error "Unable to login. Invalid username or password or problems loggin in." If the username and/or password is incorrect, shouldn't it display a login dialog? The computer I've tried it on has Windows XP SP2 and Outlook 2003. Any ideas?

it will not automatically show the login dialog again.
It returns a status value in your case i think it will return: MAPI_E_LOGIN_FAILURE
if succesfull it will return somthing with SUCCESS

so check the return value if a error occurred :)

I'm sorry, but I don't understand your reply.

What do you mean by "again"? It has never shown me the login dialog.

Yes, I meant to write that I get the error code MAPI_E_LOGIN_FAILURE. For some reason I wrote the error string that I myself coded. I must have been tired...

So my question still stands. If the username and/or password is incorrect, shouldn't it display a login dialog?
